Sleep Paralysis Chapter 3

After my second encounter with SP, it started to happen more regularly. Every 3 or 4 days it would happen, which made me terrified to sleep at all. My husband was on full alert and would try to listen to my breathing while I was sleeping, just in case it seemed strained. He didn’t get much sleep during this time either. One incident that sticks out in particular started with a terrible dream. I was waking up in my bedroom, the sun was up already and the room was lit up. I was laying there staring at the ceiling when I saw my husbands arm come across my body. At first I thought he was just wrapping his arm around to cuddle me like he normally does in the morning. But his arm ended around my neck, and he proceeded to choke me in a headlock. I tried to fight him off but he was too strong. I finally woke up in my bedroom and realized it was just a dream. My room was still dark. But then I couldn’t move. I was paralyzed yet again and the pressure on my chest was back. I tried to fight it to no avail, and then I noticed something off to the side... there was a tall dark figure standing in the bathroom doorway. I tried to scream, to move even the slightest little bit, but I couldn’t. At last my husband woke up because I was gasping and shook me until I could feel and move again. I immediately turned the lights on and checked the bathroom but no one was there. I didn’t sleep the rest of the night.
