Basement stairs

Hole in cement with water at bottom of basement. I could leave get to basement by jumping off side of stairs. Looking at firewood saw a Cardinal all muddy coming up from under some Hey and woodchips. It flew toward me and I was surprised but also thought I could get it out of the basement so I whistled to encourage it. A big hole was in the side of the basement letting in lots of light. Through it I could see another cardinal was waiting, that's one very clean and unblemished from the apparent flood of the basement. I turned around to whistle and coming directly at me from basement was a big carrier pigeon carrying a message. I woke up.
