Staying with a distant relative

My parents and son and I were traveling around an ocean area and needed a place to stay. We called ahead and then showed up at a distant aunt’s house. When we arrived, it looked really shady and we hesitated to go in. But we decided to give it a try and we brought tons of groceries to help with food. She greeted us and was skinny with long gray hair. She did not hug us but was all business helping us bring in the food and put it away. Later, we all ate dinner at a large table that she set up with random sized and shaped chairs. It wasn’t fancy but was a very cozy and nice experience.
