The stalker

So in most of the dream it’s set in some house I don’t recognize. My family is around but mostly mom, dad, and brother (once in a while sister and brother in law) The first time I meet the stalker I had just been talking to my family and was heading upstairs to a bedroom when he came out of the closet with a large kitchen knife. He attacks me and we struggle all while I’m yelling out to my family. My brother comes in and helps fight the guy off (who then just kinda disappears/gets away) Police show up and do a search of the house and surrounding area without finding the guy. I tell my family how I don’t feel safe without my brother who then kinda becomes my body guard (6’2 ex marine, pretty good option wouldn’t you say?) so he’s following me around in the dream as I go hiking then see friends/coworkers at what appears to be a school. At one point my brother and I are separated and the stalker comes out of another room at this school like building and attacks, this time my friends help fight him off. I’m then back at the house with my family when some event happens where my brother is pulled away from me and I’m left alone in that bedroom again (I later somehow know the stalker set a distraction to separate me from others). The stalker comes out of the closet again but this time he doesn’t attack. He mostly stays on the other side of the room walking intimidatingly back and forth. I’m terrified he’s about to attack. Instead after what seems like minutes he leaves. I felt the only scenario was to say “hey I can find you where ever, and can do whatever, you can’t get rid of me” So then I tell all my friends about this and they swear to protect me from this guy. Some stuff happens that I can’t remember and then there’s like this show down with the stalker in some open area in the woods. My friends start to run in to attack the guy but then a hoard of zombies comes out and starts attacking my friends. Then there’s some revelation where I find out one of my friends moms was an enemy to this stalker guy and knew he was a bad dude, tried to stop him but died and now her daughter (my friend) is here to finish the job. (Stalker looked a little like the actor John Micheal Higgins. Also most of my “friends” in this dream were people I don’t know irl) And that’s all I can remember folks.
