I dream d Chris and I were at some type of competition or contest. He was wining and finished before me. The contest was in the mountains mixed up like a mall and I remember seeing pictures posted online of him with a gun winning the competition closer to the bottom of the mountains while I was still at the top lost in a mall. By the time I finished, he had already met up with his family and my parents had spotted me and waited for me down in the street. I was looking for my old best friends because I had plans of staying out that night. I spotted Chris up ahead with a huge back pack coming to get me but I didn’t want my parents to know I was actually spending the night with him so I text him to tell him turn around and wait and could sense the sadness it caused him. Then suddenly my son was with me and we were trying to get out of the parking lot. This whole lying to my parents thing is something that did not make me feel good as a teenager. But I’m adult now. As we were trying to get Henry out of the parking lot past cops his tricycle broke and the cops made a comment to me about being a bad parent which made me mad cuz it was the first time I used the tricycle, plus when I bent down to see what happened I realized my son was old enough to be walking anyways and so I cussed out the rude cop.

AI generated interpretation Your dream weaves together several symbolic elements and emotional themes that reflect aspects of competition, connection, secrecy, and parental identity. The competition in a mountainous mall setting suggests a blending of challenges and environments—natural, complex terrain combined with a constructed, social space. Mountains often symbolize personal goals or obstacles, while malls could represent social interaction or choices. Seeing Chris ahead and winning the contest might symbolize feelings about comparison or timing in life—perhaps reflecting your own pace in achieving goals relative to someone you know. The online pictures of Chris with a gun introduce a layer of intensity or power associated with his success, and your position “lost in a mall” higher up the mountain may symbolize feeling unsure or caught between different worlds or expectations. The interaction with your parents waiting on the street and your choice to hide plans from them brings in themes of secrecy, autonomy, and perhaps unresolved feelings about approval or judgment from authority figures or family. The sense of sadness sensed from Chris when you ask him to turn around hints at emotional conflict in balancing your desires with perceived expectations. Your son’s presence introduces a dimension of nurturing and responsibility. Trying to get out of the parking lot past cops who criticize your parenting ties into feelings of judgment or pressure relating to caretaker roles. The broken tricycle and your son being old enough to walk can be seen as metaphors for growth, transition, and perhaps a feeling that past behaviors or roles no longer fit the present reality. Your strong reaction to the cop’s comment reflects a protective and assertive stance toward your identity as a parent. Overall, the dream suggests an inner dialogue about navigating personal achievements, social relationships, family dynamics, and evolving roles, all while managing authentic feelings of independence, protection, and self-expression.
