I had a dream that I was in my apartment; it was a normal evening and my fiancé was talking to me about what to have for dinner. I was walking toward him when I got a sudden head rush. I thought it was just a head rush, so I stopped in my tacks for a second to catch my breath, and my hand reached out for the arm of the couch to steady myself. Suddenly, the head rush turned into tunnel vision, and I felt like I was going to pass out. I sat down in place, and I could vaguely hear the general sound of my fiancé’s voice filled with concern. He was by my side in a second. I couldn’t take a deep breath in, and I felt my heart racing. Suddenly I couldn’t control my mouth to speak or my arms to hold onto anything. I felt heavy and exhausted, and the room was turning black so quickly. I couldn’t breathe. I tried to tell my fiancé to call an ambulance but my mouth was responding so slowly; my mouth felt foreign, detached from my body, and everything was moving like molasses. I felt terrified. In my dream mind, I assumed I was experiencing supraventricular tachycardia that morphed into ventricular tachycardia. Now that I’m awake it feels like I had a panic attack in my sleep.
