Weird Flies

I was in my room and on fly landed on me and it was a weird greenish color but quite small. Then more appeared like 5 or 6 of them, and were flying all over the room and wouldn't land, so that i could kill them or atleast catch them. But eventually they landed on my mattress and the only thing i could think of was then getting a deodorant and a lighter and burning them, which i then did but by doing that, the mattress kinda started burning. So i went to the kitchen and got a glass of water and poured it onto my matress, which put out the little sparks of fire.
