Oops, my bad

I went out to get some peach cobbler with some restaurant work friends after work. I had been talking to one guy and it seemed like it had been a while since we had seen each other. I thought he had left because I didn't see him and earlier he had sat right next to me. Then a note plopped down. In front of me, written on an envelope with marker. It was from the guy saying that he liked me. I put the note down and commented, ok, teenager. So another person from our table said, now you gotta tell us. So I sort of made fun of it saying in a silly voice, do you like me yes or no. Then I noticed the guy had come back and was sitting nearby. I wasn't sure if he heard me, but then I felt bad and embarrassed, so I snuck away to go home So I found a server to pay my bill and went home.
