missing friend

I was playing a vr demo thing that was like galaga but with a water level or something. then I was in school and one of my friends was missing and I found a letter in my stuff about her that related to the game somehow. there was a check for $2000 and a pen and some other stuff. I remember being surprised so much could fit in a flat looking envelope.
