Library-Washed Faces

I entered a library that was part of a grand faculty (it looked like my school with a large, block-shaped building). People were proposing to see each other for meetings in the library. I entered the edifice which seemed very spacious and rather cozy. After that, it is a complete blur as to what I did... I probably read books and educated myself. What was incredibly scary and surprising was that when I exited the library with Demi-Dee, I saw her face... a face of demons. Her eyes were dry and lacked of any conscience, the irises sinking in a dilapidated and grotesque form. Her mouth... dried lips that seemed to be on the verge of bleeding and an eerie grin, as if everything was fine. Finally, her face was sickly pale, an unsightly look. As unsettling as this was, I realised that I too was like that... although we seemed perfectly fine. Despite resembling somebody who has been severely burnt and has done drugs, we continued talking in a completely normal way. The sudden realisation that anyone who enters this library will become like us gave me a disturbing feeling of duty. I plead for people to not enter the library yet, they did not listen.
