A Weird Train Ride

I was walking home from somewhere (i think i had been at some kinda dinner with friends). I was cutting across wooded lawns: on the right were the backs of a bunch of apartments and there was a decent cliff to my left and a road down below, then the ocean. In the dream I know I did this a lot when walking back from town. It’s becoming late summer and there could be snakes & it’s getting dark so instead I hop on the yellow train line since a stop was coming up. It takes me to a big interchange station where lots of rails meet, I have to get off and re-verify my ticket at this new machine with a metal snake like arm and a little camera in the end. It kept looking me up and down and it really scared me because it wouldn’t stop scanning me even after a whole minute so I jumped away and told an ticket teller old lady. I said “I’m sorry but it kept scanning and I got really nervous, that thing is kinda scary to me.” She said no problem and verified my new ticket with her device and then told me next time to look down at my feet because apparently you’re supposed to do that instead of staring straight ahead while it’s scanning so maybe that’s why it was having a hard time. I followed a path between low wooden walls and came to directional arrows on a stick: right was the yellow line and left was the red. I went left towards the red and eventually found the end of the line. It kinda felt like when you’re in line for a ride at a theme park but can’t see the ride yet, you’re just in some kinda tunnel. Then I woke up.
