Waking up in your arms

I woke up as the sun beamed through the room. I rolled over not surprised at the other person laying next to me. He was awake, I could tell from the way his chest moved. Taking in a deep breath, his eyes stayed closed. A smile tipped from the corners of his lips as I watched him. “Stop staring” he said simply opening his eyes lightly and looking my way. His smile grew as he watched me. I didn’t recognize his face but somehow I knew him. I knew his name. I didn’t respond. My face was still as I watched his features feeling so safe being here with him. The room was bright from the sun though I didn’t see any windows or even any walls. We were just surround by light, making the white sheets we laid on stand out even more. He turned his body toward me mimicking my position by putting his hand between his face and the pillow, resting there. “It’s nice to have someone to wake up next to” he knew I agreed with him but I didn’t speak. He could just tell. He moved his hand now, opening his arms for me. I moved knowing exactly what he wanted me to do. As I shifted he laid back down on his back wrapping one arm around my back and pulling me to his chest. I laid on him and watched his free hand dance with the light in the room. I liked it here. We didn’t need to move. “I like having you” He said before I woke up. The boy didn’t look familiar physically but I knew who he was supposed to be. It’s weird because I haven’t spoken to this person in years let alone thought about him. I wasn’t sure why I dreamt of him.
