I follow the story of a young man, probably a student, who lives in a gigantesc building, very modern. The whole interior is really pretty, with lots of windows. But there is one wing of this building that is different. It's all white like an hospital corridor and the design is between something modern and the 70s. It's quite ugly. Unfortunately, this man leaves there. He just moved in his student room next to one of his friends. Apparently, in this world, everything is controlled by the government, and everyday you have to log in on your computer to do something I can't remember, if not you can get in trouble. The neighbour being too busy forgot to do it for two days. As they both were getting back home, they saw a man, probably from the government, waiting in his room. The man told him that he was two days late and gave him a warning, seemingly bored by his job. The friend on the other end was very tense and promised to keep up with his duties. Suddenly, the young man isn't a man anymore but a woman. She decides to go outside for a walk. The city where they live is really peculiar. Everything is orange. The city is built on water so there are no roads but only canals. The buildings were all white and cubic, varying only on height. But what was really strange was that the whole city was embraced by a thick orange mist. Even the water was a bright opaque orange. Almost no other colours could be seen. The woman and two other friends took a small boat made of wood to browse the canal. Next to them, some people, probably not entirely human, were able to swim instead. By chance, the three friends stumble upon a balcony at the water's edge. From there, they had a nice view of the city, and in the middle was standing the Eiffel tower, a big shadow in the orange mist. The woman wanted to take a picture of her friends but the moment she was about to, a big orange cloud covered everything and they couldn't see anything. This never happened before and they all found it very suspicious. Because of a few things happening, the woman decided to investigate with a friend, persuaded that the government was hiding something. When going back to their apparement, they passed in front of orange lockers where the residents kept their mail. Their attention got stuck on one locker, their young, arrogant and all around asshole neighbour. He had a lot of mails, and some of them looked apparently suspicious. They decided to open the locker with a random key, wich somehow worked. While searching, the neighbour suddenly arrived. The woman, quick on her feets, blocked his view and started talking to him trying to guide him towards the exit. Meanwhile, her friend kept reading his mails, trying to find out if the neighbour was working for the government and if he had proofs of something suspect.
