Selling a baby to the Russians

In this dream I was at my mothers church and mostly my fathers side of the family was there for a get together. During this my mother reveals that she almost sold my older brother to the Soviet Union when he was a baby. She said it was a desperate action. That she was overwhelmed with my oldest sibling and needed money. Of course she didn’t. I was appalled that she even had the thought (and now I understood why my brother disliked our mother which in reality is so stupid...) but the rest of my family was like “well she didn’t actually do it” and I was still so angry. I then looked at the clock and it was 1:55pm and I knew I need to be at work at 2. Then I woke up all angry.
