To All the Filthy Protestants I've Loved Before ✍

I was at life group with Kathleen, Joe, Parker, and Moira. Others too. It was a medium/large group. We left wherever life group was, and we were going to fly to prom (whose prom? where? we are all adults) and then to Brazil. We stopped at a restaurant for dinner first. Justus wasn't there but he had sent this mixed media art project for us all to look at. It was about lost love. There was a page for every girl who had broken his heart (except me. not gonna lie, that hurt my pride) and an object to represent them. Mo had worked on it too. Basically she added footnotes on a couple of pages. The only page I remember was about Mo. She was represented by a skein of red embroidery thread. What he wrote about her was kind of strange. He was really fixated on her being Protestant. Not sure why. I don't think either of them were raised Catholic or anything. The title of the page was censored: The _______. Because of the weird Catholic stuff and repeated mentions of this offensive word he didn't want to say, I mentally filled it in as The Infidel 🤷‍♀️ I remember thinking the word was more silly than offensive in this context. Like, is anyone really still mad about the Protestant Reformation?
