Hanahaki Cactus Blob

I don't remember much of what was going on. There was about three or four people with me, and we all ran to the car and hopped in fast like we were trying to get away from someone. I ended up sitting on someone's lap, and the next thing I know I'm half-asleep and cuddled up to him. He didn't say anything about it. They pulled into my apartment complex and there was a guy painting new lines on the road. He yelled something at whoever was driving and I said that it was alright, I could walk the rest of the way down. I don't remember if it was in the car or in the house, but I felt something prickly and tingly in my mouth, a mass of some sort. I spit it out into my hands, and it was this pink and green solid blob of ... something... i said, "What is this, some sort of Hanahaki disease?" My nose started bleeding from the right nostril as I looked at it. It was hard to hold in one hand for too long because of how sharp it was, like holding a cactus with many tiny barbs getting stuck in your skin. I was so intrigued with this thing, I wanted there to be medical testing on what this thing was. I placed it in a plastic container and stepped away to do whatever I was trying to do before. Cleaning I think. When I came back to it a little later, it had gotten bigger. It looked like it was forming into something that could become sentient eventually. It freaked me out and intrigued me, I could feel the hair raising all over my body. At one point I do remember my mom coming over, and i pulled out some old instruments (instruments that I've only had in dreams. A viola and a trumpet, but I'm not sure). They looked dusty, it's clear they'd just been sitting there not being used. Unless, in this instance, someone came over, and i wanted to show off my skills. Which were nonexistent. When I tried to play that viola, I had no idea what I was doing, and the sound that came off it was so gross, it made my mom grimace.
