Making burgers

I lived in a small house w many people and children. I was myself and my current age in the dream, but I was helping clean and cook. I decided when the day started to slow down, that I'd go to the abandoned hotel across the way and cook myself something good and enjoy the sunset. (I tend to dream of really big houses, mansions, hotels, w lots of rooms). The person who owned all of this property, land, and organized this huge family and community was my ex bf's grandmother. (Sorta rare for me to dream of people, and even rarer of me to dream of people that don't have an active place in my life. I usually take that as a message of some sort). Anyways, I brought along some ingredients to make burgers. I walked thru the hotel, and it was in between being kinda gross and unlivable, and being just enough livable and usable. I looked for a room that was still mostly intact and had a kitchen that worked. I started my burger. While I was waiting for the patties to cook, I plopped onto the bed and it was very soft and velvety, I looked out the window without glass and enjoyed the sunset for a second. The colors in the hotel reminded me of some old movie. Rich deep colors, very royal and eclectic decor. I loved it but then got kinda scared there would be spider in between the sheets so I got up to finish my burger. But then my ex bf followed me into the hotel. He led me away from my dinner and asked for a second of my time to talk. We went outside for a second, with him was his sister's kid, Osiris, and he was about 7 years older than he is now. He a was just walking around the grass and playing with random sticks and stones while me and my ex talked. He was saying that he has some new evidence against the mother of his child and hopefully it will help him fight for custody or partial custody of his child. After he was explaining this to me Osiris walks up to my ex and me and him both get startled. Osiris looks so much like my exes kid and we both thought for a second he was here. After that he led me thru the hotel and I found a colony of cats who lived in the hotel. A different one would keep coming up me and meow at me. For some reason in the dream I didn't interact with the cats even tho irl I would. But anyways my ex started jogging thru and hiding from room to room. I started getting confused as to why he would do this and started chasing him reluctantly, thinking that I just wanted to enjoy my burger and dinner. He kept slamming doors in my face when I got close to catching up w him. I started to see it as silly and rude and was about to give up and go find my room when I woke up.
