I was in some kind of indian style place being trained by an older man I do not recognize after waking. There are several others in the room receiving various trainings. I am meant to grab a snake whose venom is deadly, and hold it for a period of time. I am going about the room but then some man, i think it was the same older man, hands me a white and blue snake and I clamp it’s mouth snugly shut with my thumb against my knuckles as it wrapped itself around my fist. I was very nervous, but the man told me the tighter I clamped the snake, the less it would trust me, so I had to only lightly clamp its mouth, freeing a bit of leeway for it to possibly writhe free suddenly. Weirdly I was quasi submerged in water, I had to raise my arm up to breach the surface so the snake could take a breath, however I was unaffected. I did however lighten my grip, and began to relax with the snake. It’s eyes were intense, but the older man said that I could not release the snake until my heart rate and blood pressure fell to a certain point. After a bit of breathing and trust exercise, I did it and the man took the snake back from me. He then placed it near a bowl of food on the floor nearby. There was a cat roaming around close. I asked if the snake would bite the cat, he said no, but it’s likely to bite at your big toe! With that, the snake notices me, and darts at my feet. I am wearing only socks, so I of course begin to jump and kick at the thing. It backs away and then darts at me again and we engage in this back and forth, me terrified for my life and the older man just watching. He is telling me to not take it so seriously, to relax and regain a hold on the snake. I am afraid to pick it up again fearing it’s poison bite. By this time the snake has transformed entirely, it is now a small lizard, a bit like the ones from the movie Holes, similar to bearded dragons but deadly venom. I’m jumping up to avoid the lizard from biting me, and one time as I land the impact flings the lizard up and it lands on it’s back, unable to flip itself. The older man says, there will you pick it up now? I tried but wanted to get an object to hold its mouth down while I did. He quickly picked it up instead. He showed me the markings on it’s back, but then he dropped it accidentally. It was a bit slower moving from the impact. I was going to pick it up, but then he quickly crushed its head with a stick, killing it. I was upset that he killed it saying it was unnecessary and wrong. His excuse was that it was “dead anyway” then I woke up.
