There was some kind of bike tournament and the main girl was put in one right before some big cultural holiday celebration where she was one of the center pieces. The bikes were all futuristic and shit and could like ride on water and had this thing that was kinda like drifting in Mario kart nut they had a gear for it and could only do it so many times before it had to recharge She was like a prodigy and had finished a battle course (where you also fight monsters) in a half hour for a speed run challenge so of course she took the lead like right away by several courses (instead of laps they had a bunch of courses that were mostly a straight line with a variety of obstacles and short cuts and you would move onto the next course once you finished the first) She found a shortcut in one level but someone who was working with another player led her to an unfinished portion of a track that was dangerous and not set for riding until much later. They could also do this thing where if you jumped at the last second over a gap you got a boost, and you could also do the same by sacrificing your bike to jump to grab a ledge if you were falling. Bikes were connected to a piece of jewelry on the user (usually bracelets) and could be recalled and would rebuild themselves so there was no trouble She also used this rad dragon bone spear thing to fight and all around she made me gay
