strange body of water and girl. possible reoccuring dream?!

i was walking in an outside area covered by some sort of structure. this girl led me outside to the edge of the beach and showed me the water and said something along the lines of "its getting worse! theres much less of our ______ now!" (____ are to fill in words i cant remember) the water looked fine and seemes to stretch on forever. the only difference was a type of line or rope that basically stated do not go past this point. i remember there was no point before. because i remembered there was no point before, i could have been given that infornation for that dream. i feel like ive seen that same pool/body of water before, though. maybe in another dream or in real life?!
