Aunt Nancy Forgets What Bees Are Called

I’m with my family at my dad’s house. Nicole is still visiting from New York (in real life, she went back home last week). Aunt Nancy stops by, and immediately begins going on very quickly about something we’ve been given no context to (this is an often occurrence). We all pass side-eye each other. As a group, we walk her out to her car. She notices a bee on the ground and calls it a platypus. I seem to be the only one who heard this and it takes everything in me not to laugh. As soon as we’re back inside, I tell my sisters but they have no reaction. I suddenly come to the conclusion that I might be in a dream [but I’m not entirely aware that I actually am dreaming] and that maybe the way I presented the story was off since the way I speak in my sleep is different.
