Oysters/barnacles

My sister and I were harvesting oysters. Only thing is they were in the neighborhood growing on giant rocks. We would just tear them off. It was nighttime. I was trying to get one off but they were like barnacles and the soft side was auctioned on and I tried from many angles then I just pulled really hard and when it came off I looked to see it was all black/dead inside. But earlier in my dream I saw a platter of fresh ones.
