water lizards & moving into a new house

we moved into a new place and we were bringing things inside. behind the house, there was a body of water...like a pond. in the water, there were white and black lizards. some of them had blue scales like abalone shells. some had some of these scales than others, a couple were completely covered in the blue scales. some had all white bodies and black heads, yet they were all the same species. they just had different variations in the colors and patterns. they swam under water and they could even walk on top of the water. being in the new place was nice...I think I liked it, but I was still adjusting to it.
