Big party I was supposed to sing at- January 10, 2018

In the dream there was a party I wanted to go to. The party was downtown and it had roller skating, performances, shopping, food, drinks, etc! I was offered to sing there and I took the offer. The singing performances were going to be broadcasted live all over the world and I was soooooo excited because I guess I've always been told I was a good singer but I've never gotten an offer like this! When my family got to the party they were doing the roller skating so I grabbed a helmet and some elbow and knee pads. But then my family started going a different direction. "What are you doing?" I ask. "Oh we're just going to take a look around, come on!" My mom said. I was disappointed but I just said "oh... Ok..." We went to some of the stores but then we got in the car again and we drove far away so my parents could have a meeting or something. "Guys it's getting really late, I already missed most of the party. Can we go back now? I don't want to miss my big moment!" I exclaimed, getting worried. My mom just said "not before we visit your aunt penny." "BUT MOM! Please! It's already 8:30 and I'm supposed to sing at 9:30! Please mom! This was supposed to be MY DAY! My special day! You guys just took that from me! You made ALL the decisions on where to go, what to do, when in reality it was SUPPOSED to be MY SPECIAL DAY! NOT YOURS!" I yelled. "Well sorry maybe next year." I started crying. "Sorry? JUST SORRY? I've been waiting for this day for my whole life! The day I would get recognized! I doubt they'll offer me this next year since I won't show up this year! They don't want a no-show!" I was ranting and ranting, I was furious. My mom just left and went into a different room. I just sat on the couch and cried. Then my alarm clock rang and I woke up.
