Prom dress/sobbing

In the dream I’m aware I’m part of like an after school special type of story, but I’m really the character and I’m really in this situation (idk how to explain it) But the scene is Im prom dress shopping with my two friends and I’m talking about how I’m not sure how I feel about my date, he’s just my friend nothing more. My friends assure me that’s okay and then I find some sort of magic coupon in the changing room where I win all these free clothes and they’re sooo cute. While I’m trying clothes on, my date shows up and we talk and it’s nice and he tries to kiss me in the fitting room. I let it happen, and now I’m actually kind of into it. Then I go back to try on the last dress again, the dream dress, and all of a sudden a few dresses are gone. The dress attendant lady calls my date back and she’s accusing him of stealing them and even though I know he didn’t do it, she gives me an ultimatum; I give up the really nice expensive dream dress I just bought, for free, or she calls the cops on him. I’m on the floor sobbing and finally I say to just take the dress and let him go free, so now I’m out 500$ and I don’t have a prom dress. I’m aware whoever is watching hears some kind of sad after school special music, and everyone feels so bad for me and then I woke up.
