I met a former student. He told me that he got a job in Australia, on an island where he was supposed to feed the animals. He had managed to get American citizenship, even though his wife and children had Canadian citizenship. He showed me a comic about his future supervisor. It was a slice-of-life comic about being a Vietnamese-American woman in science. It also showed her methods. She tracked the motion of moving cells by drawing a circle around a cell in one video frame, then looking for pixels that overlap the circle in the next. In the dream I thought it was a clever algorithm, but I knew I should give her credit instead of taking it myself. The comic ended with her giving birth in a flooded hospital room. (It was my dream, so technically I am the author)
