A Strange Airplane Trip, And An Interesting Birthday Card

I was on an airplane. I believe I was flying from Phoenix to Raleigh Dorum. It was a smaller aircraft, and we were actually able to speak with the pilot, unlike on most airplanes. He was a middle aged man from the south, I believe Alabama. There were also 2 flight attendants on board, both of them women. The first part of the flight was pretty uneventful, we took off, and seemed to reach a pretty stable altitude, but all of a sudden, the pilot had a very difficult time keeping the plane airborne. He was asking everyone on board to blow up these trash bags, like balloons, in order to help keep us in the air, so we did. It felt like we were in a swimming pool with ripples instead of flying on a plane. But We did everything we could to keep in the air. The aircraft was flying over Louisiana while this all went down. Then, I was back from my trip. I was at my house in Phoenix. I received a birthday card in the mail from my grandma and aunt. My birthday was almost 3 weeks ago, but I got the card anyway. This birthday card was very unique. It had what was called, a wool. By wool, I don’t mean like the wool of a sheep, this had a different meaning.
