Daryl drinks then goes sober

There was a milestone party in the family (Baker side) and we all had to wear a hat. The main things I remember are going through the day waiting to go to the party, which was meant to start around 7pm. I was with Mum. It got to about 3pm and she saw no other option except to either 1) pre-drink or 2) go to the venue and start drinking early. I declined all of this but said I would accompany her to the pub. When there, I noticed Daryl and Gareth there as well, early, and already heavily drinking (I recall seeing Daryl down 2 bottles of red wine in about 5 minutes). To my surprise, when people started turning up and it was clear Daryl was in no state to be socialising (or getting to that point), Dad dragged him and Gareth outside. I'm not sure what happened to Gareth, but Dad berated Daryl like crazy, going back through events where he had gotten to drunk, what Aunty Carol and others had said about him and how he was pretty much a disgrace to the family. I don't remember much more, except Daryl sobering up and not wanting to drink for the rest of the dream.
