pit bulls gallore

I was traveling through doors in a building to get to a certain place so i could talk to someone i think. Beyond each door was a residence with a yard and everything, and as a result many took it upon themselves to own dogs with high lethal potential, because why not? At every other house or so i encountered a pit bull, and on 90% or so of those encounters the dog was not behind a fence or anything. Most were not aggressive but still came up to me. At one point i had a companion with me who started petting one and it seemed like a decent dog even though it took a few knips at the person's ankle as they climbed over a structure leading to the door. I made it to my goal location and then had to go back. Ofc i was vocal about my detestment of the dogs. This time i went through a weight room and picked up 2 dirty towels to help distract the dogs. On my way back i used the towels and they worked all right. I ended up getting back without a scratch.
