It was my cousin’s younger daughter’s birthday. She had her party at the local bounce house, per custom for any kid’s birthday in my town. I was walking with Glamrock Freddy and Montgomery Gator from FNaF: Security Breach. I was with another girl around my age. She was in a gothic getup. There were these little kids running around and trailing behind us. Freddy, being the gentleman he was, opened the door and let us all in. He remarked that there were so many kids as they kept running in. “Well, sure. It’s a birthday party,” the goth girl responded. Long plastic tables lined up with streamers everywhere. There was a DJ playing music and flashing lights in the back. All the kids ran over to the door that let you inside the actual bounce house. Freddy broke into a full-blown rant about economics and how this was all a waste of money. Monty told him to shut up. I ate my food fast like a pig, while the other girl ate her food like a regular human being. Freddy and Monty seemed to have a liking to her. I don’t blame them! I wanted to go to the bounce house, but I figured I’d do it later. My family moved their table from the main room to the arcade room. I recalled being small enough to fit inside the vending machines here and steal some plushies. I felt like telling my dad, but I knew he’d get mad for bringing up stupid stuff. My dad’s absent father was at the birthday party, and my dad was talking to him. I was really upset because the last time I saw him was probably almost nine years ago, when I was about seven and we were at a pool party. Why did he make the decision to come to his great-grandaughter’s birthday party, someone he has probably had never met in his life? I masked my emotions well, though. Maybe I was being selfish thinking this way. At one point, I got out of the building for some fresh air. I went up to the woods and ran into an oppossum, one of my favorite animals. I expected it to run away, but it was friendly and kept trying to jump on me. There was a woman who kept taking photos with her husband in the woods. She edited a photo of her dog running around the lumber area. The oppossum started to claw me, so I ran back down to the building. Everyone save for my family was gone. We went over to the door which led to the bounce area, but it instead opened to a bunch of other doors for our bedrooms. One of my family member’s announced that my future husband was coming over, and he had a shrink ray…
