Important detail: This was during a nap in my dorm room. As I fell asleep, my roommate was over at her closet, going through her clothes and playing music. I had to wake up at 1 pm for my 2 pm class, but kept snoozing my alarm, leading to trippy dreams. I “woke up” in my “dorm,” but it was in a massive compound with huge towers everywhere. My roommate was now my sister. My room also resembled a really nice hotel room, with huge floor space and a kitchenette. I pulled an egg out of the fridge. I laid on my bed for a while holding the egg, kind of chilling out. After a while I thought: if I sit here any longer, this egg is going to go bad. Then I asked my sister if there was a public stove anywhere in the building because we didn’t have one in our room. “If there’s no stove anywhere, it wouldn’t have made sense for you to buy a carton of eggs, right?” I said. And I pictured cracking the egg into a cast iron pan and eating a yummy sunny-side-up egg. She said yes, there were public stoves upstairs. But then I realized that what I was holding wasn’t an egg, it was like a giant Junior Mint, with chocolate on the outside. I thought, if it’s a Junior Mint, I should just eat it. So I bit in and thought wait, what if this IS an egg?? And inside the chocolate shell, I tasted raw egg white/yolk. I was like, what the fuck?? Following this, I continued my mission to cook an egg. I walked upstairs and found a fancy bar/lounge area with lots of bathrooms nearby, but no stove. I kept wandering around until I went outdoors through a side door. At this point I saw two identical blonde girls running past me, gagging like they were about to yak. I pointed them towards the bathrooms in the lounge area. I started getting nervous. Another identical blonde ran over and began vomiting into a trash can, and I started to run trying to get away from them. Then I “woke up” in my real “dorm.” This one was 100% accurate. I turned over to look at the time on my phone—2:10. Oh god I was so late. I felt a sense of fear and dread spread over my whole body. But then I thought it might be a dream. I “woke up” again and reached over for my phone. I held the phone in front of me and tried to check the time, but the phone was INVISIBLE and my vision was all fucked up. It was like my eyes weren’t working and just blocking it out. I couldn’t see my hand either, just the disembodied tips of my fingers. I told myself that the phone was there but my eyes were just malfunctioning and filling in where the phone SHOULD be with details it already knew. But I could sort of still see my roommate going through her clothes behind the phone. It was kind of disturbing honestly. Then I woke up for real. My eyes literally snapped open and I was so relieved to see normally. (And it was only 12:30pm)
