Superhero Stuff

I was in my apartment when my brother came over to visit. When I let him in i noticed my neighbors door was also open which was odd. I peaked in to check on here and she was dead at her kitchen table. I told my brother to call the police. While we waited for the police some weird monsters appeared from the neighbors apartment. My brother and I pulled out our weapons we apparently had and started fighting them. I knew i was a superhero in my free time and this stuff wasn't out of the ordinary for me. After the two monsters vanished, I got a call from a friend saying "we've made a break through. Everything we've worked towards will finally pay off. You'll be fine. It's just going to take 5 more hours." I knew he was working with a group of scientists to give powers to normal people. Although I was a hero, I didnt have powers which was illegal. There was a time skip to the afternoon when I had a knock at the door. It was my scientist friend. He jumped back with a smile on his face and he stayed in the air. They were able to successfully give people powers.
