Reality- A couple months ago I went on a tinder date (judge me all you want) and for safety purposes we’ll call him Joe, he took me to the park and to a cheap Chinese restaurant in a town 20 minutes away from my own. The date went well but we soon stopped talking to each other and went our separate ways, didn’t think much of the guy but was decently attractive :) Dream- I’m currently looking for a job, and down the street a Chinese store hired a fluent English teen to take calls, which I thought was very smart so they don’t get the orders mixed up and well I subconsciously thought, “hmm wouldn’t the Chinese place we went to need me?” So I go and talk to the woman who works at the restaurant joe and I went to and she said she’d be glad to hire me for front counter. Joe and I were happily together in the dream. At first the lady wanted me to work nights, but the place was oddly Erie, dim lit and an elongated seating area with the cliché Asian entry decor, like a mini Asian red indoor decor gate, resembled the gate outside of Chinatown Portland, OR. A lot of maroon/ light red based curtains and mini bonsai trees scattered. They want me to get familiar with the kitchen and they wanted me to work the huge Wok pan, to cook stir fry and what not. As I’m trying to figure how to flip the pan and etc. I soon have a creepy feeling that I’m being watched, a small child looking as if he was off of the grudge (not to be racist it’s a dream) has his head tilted and is staring at me with his black eyes. I try my best to ignore it, and the next time I turn around to check on him he was gone. Everyone in the kitchen started to vanish one by one, leaving to go into the back and never returning for which I thought was closing time, the lights start turning off and everyone seemed to have gone home but I’m left oddly alone in a dark kitchen and I decide to go check to see if Joe is here to pick me up from my odd first day of work. I’m leaving out the front (with a weird elongated seating area, too long and hard to weave in between tables and desks and whatnot, almost like a maze and I couldn’t see past the scatter it was oddly tall) and as I continue, the walk way opened up right at the gate I mentioned earlier, there was our janitor who spoke in wise words, like an intelligent Asian man with wisdom from his age. Who spoke in small sentences but had great power behind them. I ask him if everyone left and he nodded, I asked a second question “what time am I supposed to come in tomorrow? The manager left before I could ask” he then states, the thing I remember most of this dream and said “a business is not a one person job, each must know not of themselves but acquire others needs and follow based on that, come when you know you are needed” and I woke up instantly.
