chiki collects porcupine quills

miss chiki and i were with some family or familiar people i suppose? it was cold weather and felt like it was about to turn winter. we walk away from everyone and go on some little trial by a pond. i notice a porcupine in the water floating around. he’s shed some of his quills and they were floating around in the water. i point it out to the dog “chiki look here! a porcupine!”. chiki hates water in real life but she jumps in. i’m somewhat concerned momentarily but the porcupine gets nervous and swims off quickly. chiki starts grabbing some of his quills and bringing them to me. she collects a couple at a time then swims over to put them in my hand. i grab them and then she goes and gets more. after she collects the main pile she gets some more across the pond. she looked so cute i felt so proud of her for doing that. i decided i’d have to make something nice out of the quills for her. my aunt vivian walks over at some point and i explained what chiki was doing and we watched her. so cute.
