My high school was in war (literally)

All students in my high school were required to fight in a war. The war was based on religion, but I’m not sure of specifics. I figured this out because it mattered that I was an atheist and I was separated into a group for atheists. Note: I’m not sure if my school was against another school/organization; it might have just been students fighting other students of the same school, but I’m not completely sure. The place setting was strange. It took place on a deserted island somewhere, and looked a bit like minecraft but more realistic. I was in a tall tower that had ocean water underneath. Suddenly, one of the Makennas from elementary school showed up in the tower, and apparently she was my partner. She seemed super happy and chill, not at all fearing the literal war we were about to fight. There was also an audience of parents/family on the perimeter. They all clapped and cheered like it was a sporting event. This confused the shit of out me. I thought “people are about to die in here, why is everyone so casual an calm?” One of the school authorities (I don’t remember who, might have been the head of school) gave a speech. He said that participation is mandatory and that this is a “great opportunity” for all students. Up in the tower, I surveyed my surroundings. I was at a sizable distance from a mountain. I could see trees partially blocking students holding black rifles. I didn’t even have a gun at that point. I tried strategizing, and my main goal was just to run away from everything instead of trying to shoot people. I also didn’t know if I should coordinate with Makenna. Idk how I got there, but I ended up on the mountain I mentioned before. I saw minecraft figures running around (creepers I think) but didn’t care about them and wasn’t surprised. Then I found myself in someone’s apartment. There were stairs leading to a dark, unknown place, and I feared there could be minecraft mobs there, so I went a different direction. I locked myself in a closet. Then I woke up.
