weird end of the world

The end of the world was slowly approaching. It was represented by the red storm cloud with blue lightening. When the storm got there, we would die. My mom, brother, and I tried to out drive the storm a bit. We broke into an apartment to find the woman who owned it had commuted suicide. She owned a pet store and I suggested we wait for the storm there. The fish and dogs could help distract us while we waited and eventually painfully died. My mom and brother spent a bit more time in the apartment and I went outside. There was a girl with short brown hair on the other side of the road. I had a really bad feeling as she started to stumble towards me. I told her multiple times to stop but she kept getting closer. She was also saying something but I can't remember what. When she got close enough I hit her upside the head with a book I had. She stumbled back and then looked fearfully to her right. I looked too to see a shadow charge at me. It tackled me to the ground as the girl ran. It was a guy but there was something wrong with his eyes. They were glazed over, had no pupil and were grey. I pushed him off of me and ran to the car were my family was. As we started to drive, we saw the storm clouds dissipate. We went back to normal life. I was volunteering at a school where they were trying to learn more about what was going on. Now there wasn't just a storm, there were multiple. And people would start acting strangely as well. At one point a storm came up and almost everyone's eyes changed and they started acting like the guy, almost feral yet still very intelligent. However, they blinked in and out of this state. I avoided them and ran out of the school. I came across the guy from the night who never seemed to change from the feral state. However, I did end up teaming up with him to escape because the others grey eyes also wanted to attack him. The rest of the dream was us traveling to different places over a long course of time. We discovered only certain people would not change, such as myself and the book girl who we encountered again.
