Football soccer hybrid

I was tbrown into a game of football and I had a to apologize a ton for not knowing the rules and saying hey its my first time. I was playing at some big school and didn’t really know the people however they were actually pretty nice and not at all how I would expect football players to act. I marked someone really hard almost basketball style with fingers around their jersey and forced them out of bounds which was against the rules I guess(probably just my brain making up a rule, might nit actually be real. That got the ball and on the next play I tried to tackle someone but I got held back by someone. I continued to apologize and played a little more and got hotter so I had to take off my jacket, which I don’t think is even allowed over a jersey (which I also didn’t have). On offense it somehow turned into a soccer style goal which I was actually pretty good at and I got a lot of props from my teamates. I explained that I’ve had a lot of experience with soccer just not football. But still they didn’t seem to care. I scored a ton of goals and (and missed a few wide. But my teammates also scored a bunch. It was a pretty good game, although idk why the rules were so weird.
