I was home in my old apartment drifting off to sleep when one of the little kids (about 5 years old) comes to my front door crying because a man walked past him outside making scary faces and taunting the boy. I tell him everything okay and that he’s safe and set him up on the couch with a blanket to sleep. I’m later woken up again by the kid even more distraught than before saying a man was banging on the window making faces and yelling at the kid. I tell him he can crash in my room and I give him something to watch since he can’t sleep. I go to the living room to check it out and I don’t see anything. As I head back to my room I hear shouts from the neighbors apartment across the way. I turn and see two men with shotguns pointed at a family on the couch while a third is unplugging and lifting a TV. I pull out my phone to call the cops but wonder if that would only get someone hurt so I just decide it’s better to lose some belongs than their lives. I got back to bed but when I wake up, the kid’s family is around me asking about him. I bring him out which makes them all happy. I realize there are about 10 or 15 people (including the men that had them at gun point pretending to be family) all hanging out and excited to see the kid. I’m walking to my car (that had been broken into a few weeks ago) and notice some of my drawers, clothes, and dishes in the grass. Someone had broken into my house while I was asleep. In a rage I grab a plate and walk straight into the house where I saw the men and the family and I confront the men still wearing their bandannas. I went off on them swinging a plate in frustration asking if they had broken into my house and stole my stuff. They told me to F off and kept dodging anything I asked them. I tried confronting the family about the kid and who is protecting him but was met with “drop it” and “idk what you’re talking about” pissed at the men and the family I storm out. I pass an old woman sitting in a lawn chair out front and she says “best just leave it be” like she already knew everything. I told her what was going on and asked her what I was suppose to do. At that moment the three men come outside toward me. The one in front with his hand behind his back. I know what is coming. They come up to me and one pulls a revolver from off his belt and shoots at me twice. I hold the plate out to block it but it just shatters in my hand as the bullets fly into me. The first hit me on my right side of my abdomen and the second hit just below my sternum. Pieces of shrapnel from the ceramic plate pepper my body. I knew in that moment I was going to die. Screams fill the air but all I hear is ringing in my ears. Blood gushed out everywhere and I felt everything. Light fades to dark, I fell backwards and before I hit the ground I woke up.
AI generated interpretation This dream is highly indicative of the feelings of vulnerability and powerlessness you may be experiencing in your waking life. The child in the dream may represent a part of yourself that feels fearful and helpless, while the robbers represent people or situations that make you feel threatened or invaded. The fact that you choose not to call the cops and instead confront the robbers yourself may indicate a desire to take control of the situation, but your anger and frustration are not met with resolution. The old woman’s comment “best just leave it be” suggests acceptance of the situation rather than fighting against it, and her saying she already knew everything may indicate a sense of foreboding or intuition about negative situations. The violence in the dream, specifically the shattering of the plate and bullets flying into you, signify a feeling of being attacked and defenseless. Alternatively, it may represent a need to release pent-up emotions that are causing you stress or anxiety. This dream is a reflection of the anxieties and fears that may be weighing heavily on your subconscious, and should be addressed with care and attention.
