Something out of a movie

Earth was being controlled by some authoritarian alien race. At the beginning there was a rally led by the aliens and we all had to wear our big metal hats into the auditorium and cheer along with the aliens to encourage cooperation with and submission to them. After the weekly rally of "friendship" I went up to the balcony and looked out the window. I saw the vast expanse of what looked like barren wasteland. That was when I realized the atmosphere was destroyed and there was no air out there, humans were herded into these bubble settlements with artificial air so the aliens would have something left to control. There's was absolutely nothing outside besides other bubble settlements in the distance. I went back downstairs and the settlement looked like a mix between a mall and a high school. My friend and I were chilling in one of the rest areas and I suggested we get some food. He asked if I could grab him some canned food from when before the aliens took over. I said I'd try to find some. I wandered aroubd the crowded settlement for a while until I came to a big window. Some people were pointed outside so I looked. There was a dead person pressed up against the outside of the window. Someone mentioned he tried to rebel against the aliens so they tossed him outside and the vacuum stuck his body to the window so they could make an example out of him.
