The Berkeley campus had recently undergone a landscape renovation. Ben and I were walking up from North Gate by Saturja Dai Hall and tried to identify the new plants. Agapanthuses everywhere, but what were those darker stalks topped with fleshy berries? “Blueberries” I thought and tasted one to verify, and Ben confirmed after I invited him to try one too. Then we mused on the benefits of a campus-wide blueberry foraging effort and the dream ended.
