End of world

I was with my mom at her house in Seattle. I noticed black flies at all of the doors and windows. Grabbed my mom to affirm the flies and she said they were definitely a dark omen and it meant something was outside and we needed to burn the flies. We searched all over the house for something to burn them with and all we founds were a couple matches that didn’t work worth a damn. I ended up grabbing this huger battle axe that was way too big for me. And went outside to face whatever was out there. Outside I found a foe. I began to attack but the axe was so cumbersome I couldn’t hit anything and was easily dodged. Come to find out the flies stated to die down and noticed I was swinging at the good guys.
