I sat in chest-deep water, a girl attached to my hip as I hold her. I don't know who she is, and I don't know why it was necessary but partners were needed. She was only around 7 or 8, but she was my partner because I chose to protect her. I left my childhood best friend to do so, and it seemed worth it. I ran from river monsters until there was no more water and no more little girl. I stumble over a cliff, and down I go. I fall a solid 6 feet onto a flat ledge, and then really look around me. I was on a mountain. As I hop from ledge to smooth rock-like landings on this mountain, many things catch my eyes. Be it the intricate knickknacks, or the gems, I often found myself picking up crystals bigger than my hands together; they looked as if they held galaxies inside of them.
