Buying Shoelaces

I’m at the store, shopping for shoelaces. The perspective is not first person, it’s like watching myself as an outsider, or on TV. I want to buy white shoelaces for my Vans, because they are getting dingy looking. My personal trainer is with me. He is also looking to buy shoelaces. He wants to buy dark blue (royal blue) shoelaces. I have another pair of shoelaces in my hands. They are neon pink. I tell him I want to buy those too.
