In a tv show or movie from a book

So the backstory to this dream was that someone wrote a book with an antagonist named “The Inspiry” (I don’t remember much of the plot). Anyway there was a tv show or movie based on the book, and it felt like I was really in it, being the protagonist. Not acting on a set, but actually in the story if that makes sense. I remember being in a scene at the end of the movie/show, on a bike in the woods. I was saying goodbye to someone who I knew, who was another character in this book. It was quite emotional, but I didn’t cry. I also remember seeing or thinking about a valley coated in fire. Idk maybe thats where “The Inspiry” resided. Then I watched an interview with the author, where she was explaining why she killed off “The Inspiry”, except I didn’t know that the Inspiry was dead until then somehow.
