I'm at a skate park, skating around with these two guys who don't seem to know each other, but clearly they both used to skate here when they were younger. I'm not as good as they are. I'm having audible internal thoughts as I listen to their conversation. They reminisce about the park and skateboarding, and make plans to meet uo later that day to skate together again. One of them is tall and stoner-esque, the other is much shorter, nerdy, and wearing glasses. He talks at little about playing Left for Dead. Thats the only thing we talk about together. I'm not really apart of their conversation, but I say "nice skating with you guys" and head outside of our little area. I noticed that we were talking under a covered structure as I exit. I can feel the wind. The shorter one starts to joke around with me as he follows me out, it makes me uncomfortable and I don't think it's funny. I wish I had talked more with the taller guy- he seems nicer. Outside, people start rushing the park from the left. They are all joking around too, at first. More and more people flood the area until my mom finds me. She's the first to notice that something is wrong, and I think she's overreacting. Everyone is just messing around. People to our right react to something we don't notice yet, I still think everyone is just fooling around, Until I see the screens. Outside of the structure there are screens with alerts poping up. At first they are in another language with lettering I don't understand. Orange letters on a black background. Then words pop up in English. The words "Shiratorizowa" "Nukes" and "Fire" pop up one after another. I heat someone say "thats only like, 10 minutes away." We all look back in front of us, away from the structure. It's sunset, and a little cloudy. We can see the shock wave silently shifting the clouds as it comes towards us. We all crouch down on the ground. I cover my ears and watch the clouds move. I feel the wind pick up, and the sound in my cupped hands sounds like an ocean wave rushing in. I wake up.
