Castle actor

I was visiting a castle. It may have been part of a video game or a theme park. I was just going to pass through, but there was a sign that the basement was open with an actor as an interpreter for one day only. I went down metal stairs. On a shelf next to the stairs were sticks of butter, so I took one. The interpreter was in a maroon robe, like a wizard. He was standing at a cauldron with dry ice. I dropped the butter in the cauldron, thinking this was part of the act. He quickly asked me not to do that and reached in to fish it out. The hem of his sleeve got wet. I was apologetic, but it was clear this happened often. He was playing a scientist investigating enemies of the kingdom. He showed me s camera that pointed outside. A second camera showed people approaching (a video on a loop). He warned me of infiltrators, and pointed to a row of model robots “crawling” along the wall. He theatrically pulled one off and threw it to the ground, but put it back a moment later. I looked around on my own. A shelf had vintage black and white film I was interested in. I thanked him and went to leave, and he briefly broke character. I asked what the butter was supposed to be for, and he said it was just set decoration. Unrelated second dream: I was listening to the first episode of a role playing podcast. One of the players was describing his character, a starship captain in a midieval setting, and it became very clear he was just describing Homer Simpson.
