the war with aliens

I was in a futuristic city with my friends. We lived together in a house in this city. I don't remember what we did in the begining, something with strange games which took place in the city. We were dividend in two teams and had to take each other out with these games. I was playing against some girl who had some magic abilities. I had some too, I could fly. She took that ability away at some point, at which I realised it was a dream, so I could just get it back by believing I could fly. This worked and she was quite surprised. At some point however when we got out of a building some kind of laser came out of the sky. we managed to run away and hide. At one point we ended up in a basement, which had access to the sewers. We were attacked again and most people jumped into a big room in the sewers. I did the same at first, but decided to climb back up, because I felt like it was a trap. Suddenly all rooms turned out to be cages. Before I could go back walls came in to block our cage from the ones below. These below us gently went down and dissapeared further down into the sewers. Ours went down too, bit a lot faster. I was afraid we were going to crash on the ground, so I held the top of the cage to not let my feet touch the ground, so I would not land that hard. We stopped before we reached the ground though. We saw all the others in cages around a lake thingy (can't find the right name for this, but there was a lot of water and it was circulair). We were hanging directly above the water. I could see their faces, they were scared but I could see they also felt good they hadn't chosen to stay in the basement like we had. I sort of felt bad too that I had climbed back up. I though I could manage to survive falling on the ground, but unfortunitely something worse happened. We were dropped in the water. I took a deep breath and was afraid we were going to die, because we couldn't do anything, I mean we were locked in a cage under water. At this point I kind of remembered it was a dream though and there's always two things I can do in dreams: flying and breathing under water. I took a breath and even though it was less easy than breathing air, it was deffinitely working. I could now look around more relaxed and found the lock in our cage. I used magic to manipulate the water and after a while I was actually able to open the cage. We happily went outside and one tiny hole had opend in the wall. There was a sort of tiny ladder which we could use to pull ourselves up into the tiny hole. It probably led somewhere, but it was impossible to see. I went first, but when at the end I had to turn around and go up one level, I figured this could be a very long way to crawl and I was claustrophobic, so we went back and I let one of my friends go first. Going after him wasn't nearly as scary and for some reason there was more light now. Also at the end we didn't have to go up into another tiny passage, but we ended up in a larger room where we could stand, which had stairs. We walked through another hallway after these stairs and saw through a big hole in the wall all the other cages. The people in it now looked remorseful of the choice they had made, because for them there was no way out. The cages started to role in some direction, but I never got to see where they went. I also don't really know what happened to the aliens afterward (the ones that shot the lasers) but aside from some decapitated corpses there was nothing going on anymore in the streets when we got out of the sewers.
