Late for the work event and recalling laughing with auntie

Raffa co-opts me for another fancy event at work, but I’m running late! I’m with my cousin Martina and other old school girlfriend, trying to make my way back in time! We cross towns, slide down water park slides. I’m running out of time, literally, plus I have to retrieve the dried flower bouquet and find out someone dumped it in the trash. I pull it out, still pretty. I fear I won’t make it. Crossing all sort of obstacles, my mind goes to auntie and those summer days spent watching Mai Dire Banzai, laughing together. I feel a ping of sadness and deep affection for her and miss her dearly. Then I imagine how I would translate Mai Dire Banzai to DJH.
