earth apocalypse

I had a dream that earth was thrown into chaos. Something ravaged NYC and it was left in ruins. People were running away and the military was in the city. I was camped out in an apartment building with a family. We were trying to open a closet that had a gun. But as whatever was happening got closer, we broke down the door of the bathroom, grabbed the daughter and started running. I ran all the way in one direction and spotted Aleks, with his cool linen shirt flapping in the air. He takes one look back and suddenly starts booking it. I turn back and I see the biggest tsunami wave ever and also start running as fast as I could. We ran for a good amount and aleks darts into an apartment building. I follow suit and we start rushing up the stairs, closing off the mesh gates behind us. I notice how all the windows are open and remark my relief as they are blocked by metal meshes too. When we got to the top we found that there were already two people there. The building rumbled a bit and I guessed the wave had passed. It then started to rain heavily and the two tech guys were setting up a tv to hear the news on what the heck was going on. They flip through some scrambled channels until they find a broadcast with protestors rallying against the military. Suddenly one of the military guys open fire into the crowd of protestors and all hell breaks loose. Blood and brains fly everywhere and the military starts literally shooting everyone in sight. All is chaos. After seeing this I went to use the bathroom and I peed in the sink. The sink had a removable nozzle just like the one is Jeffrey's kitchen. While I was in my bathroom I heard my family arrive. Afterwards we went underground to plan and defeat whatever was causing this mess on earth. That's all I remember. This was probably one of the most vivid dreams I've had.
