Dystopian Cake

I was living in a grungy post-apocalyptic wasteland. The city was divided into sectors by these impossibly tall concrete walls. They were covered in graffiti. They actually looked pretty cool. At first l was living with several other women in something like a dorm, but the government moved us all out. They sent me to a different sector than everybody else. I had to stay in isolation in a tiny apartment. It was on a really high floor in a bare-bones concrete building built against the wall. I don't even think there was glass in the windows. I couldn't see the ground I was so high up. I knew that the only way to stay sane was to journal, so I asked the government for a notebook. Instead they gave me a big white sheet cake and some frosting. I was very frustrated trying to write my feelings on the cake.
